Every Monday morning, 8-12, the Topaz Studio is open for any and all to use the space for creating.

Join this diverse group of oil artists as we explore a creative journey together through collaborating on ideas, techniques and resources, I.e. all things oil! Bring your oil paints and canvas along to enjoy your afternoon painting with like minded artists.

This class is a great opportunity for budding artists and those who have no experience. We will explore, drawing, watercolor, acrylics, pastels and collage.

A twelve-week course for anyone who wishes to expand his or her creativity. This study is not meant only for declared artists but is aimed at everyone transitioning into another part of life. Your memoir will unfurl over the entire twelve weeks, using just four basic tools and tasks. Each week will cover these tools and tasks, and will include discussions of one chapter of the book, and of your life.

Learn to create representational, impressionist, or abstract landscapes in oil.

Join this diverse group of watercolor artists as we explore a creative journey together through collaborating on ideas, techniques and resources, I.e. all things watercolor! Bring your paints and paper along to enjoy your afternoon painting with like minded artists.

This watercolor class focuses on techniques for painting different styles of skies, from big, billowy clouds on a sunny day to sunsets and perhaps night skies.

Each week will cover these tools and tasks, and will include discussions of one chapter of the book, and of your life.

It‘s easy and in three hours you will complete 6 cards or 6 5"x7" mini paintings to group. We will use various techniques, including using stencils and a special color pencil that can contain the inks. We will pour, blend and lift, and use metallic alcohol inks for backgrounds. All supplies are included, including card and envelopes. Frames are not included, however mats will be providing for those who plan to frame rather than using cards.

Join this diverse group of pastel artist as we explore a creative journey together through collaborating on ideas, techniques and resources, I.e. all things pastel! The beginning pastel class prepares you to join us. Bring your pastel and paper along with the many additional supplies in the Topaz room and in the instructors kit to create finished pieces ready to frame.

Join other Guild members to show your work and receive critiques if you choose. They meet from 9-10 am in the Topaz Studio

This four-part series of beginner classes is designed for the novice with little to no drawing experience. We will start with an explanation of basic supplies and explore fundamental drawing techniques: drawing in line, shading methods, use of simple shapes, perspective, proportion, and composition. In this class you will acquire basic drawing skills that you can put to use in your creative projects. It will also prepare you for more advanced drawing instruction. Required Supplies: Pencils (1 each: 2H, 2B, 4B); kneaded eraser; pencil sharpener; drawing paper (9x12-inch pad, medium surface, 70lb weight); conte crayon (2B, black or sanguine, 2 sticks); and tortillons/blending stumps (small pack of 6). The ever popular Art & Wine Event is an evening of food, wine, friends and creativity. A box lunch and 2 glasses of wine are included with the price of admission. Minimum of 10 registrants

A day to play with paper, paste, and creative ideas; to work on collage projects using the large tables available, and to spread out papers, magazine clippings, etc. Each person has their own style and it is fun to share ideas.
