About this event
| Why oils? Done properly, oils provide a rich, luminous glow to your work that withstands UV and the tests of time. AND it's not as messy (and smelly) as you think. In this class you'll learn five different ways to start a painting, what additives to use and when, thick over lean techniques, color mixing with eight basics tubes of pigment and abstract techniques using cold wax. Beginner and intermediate level. Traditional or water soluble oils .Bring your own reference or choose from several photos from the instructor. |

Acrylic Paint to start with a colored ground (optional)
Red, yellow, blue, white, tan or off white.
I like Raw Siena for desert landscapes
Brushes:
Bring your favorites including different sizes of filberts, flats, rounds, etc.

Palette or Palette Paper
Turpenoid or Ordorless Turpentine
Cold Wax (optional)

Dawn Soap for cleaning Brushes

Cancellation Fee: $5.00
Full Refunds are given for the following reasons:
Emergency surgery, death of immediate family.
positive COVID/Exposure to COVID.
Full refund if the registrar is notified one week prior to beginning of class. No show = no refund.
No adjustments of class fees if unable to attend one or more of a class series.
The cancellation refund, less the cancellation fee, will be sent as a check after the date of the class. Members may choose instead to receive class credit, less the cancellation fee.
