About this event

Entry into watercolor painting can be a pricey investment in supplies and materials. This class will provide information so you can make more informed choices of what to buy and can prioritize your supplies purchases over time. Accountants call it amortization!

I will cover the various types of brushes, explain paper grades and textures, and explore paint options such as tubes vs. pans and quality grades. I will do some brief demos to highlight the tools, and you will have an opportunity to try things out too. This class is more about information than creating a piece of art. Ideal for the beginner getting started or anyone who wants to learn more about materials.

SUPPLIES: There will be a small material fee of $15 for watercolor paper and paint. I will provide the brushes so you don’t have to go out and buy a bunch of stuff.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellation Fee: $5.00

Full Refunds are given for the following reasons:
Emergency surgery, death of immediate family.
positive COVID/Exposure to COVID.

Full refund if the registrar is notified one week prior to beginning of class. No show = no refund.

No adjustments of class fees if unable to attend one or more of a class series.

The cancellation refund, less the cancellation fee, will be sent as a check after the date of the class. Members may choose instead to receive class credit, less the cancellation fee.
