Special Exhibitions for Fall of 2021

Tucson Desert Art Museum

The Desert Art Museum’s Fall Opening Day will be Saturday September 18, 2021. Beyond their permanent exhibits, this fall they have three exciting special exhibitions:

  • All the Single Ladies: Women Pioneers of the American West
  • Buffalo Soldiers: Art of David Laughlin
  • The Dirty Thirties: New Deal Photography of Dorothea Lange (1930s)

Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild (SAWG): UNSINKABLE SPIRITS

Four of our Guild members have entries in this exhibit: Karen Brungardt, Marilynn Davis, Fran Dorr, & Kay Sullivan. Karen won an Award of Merit and Honorable Mention in the show.
This show runs until October 4, 2021.

University of Arizona Museum of Art

The UofA Museum of Art is closed for remodeling until October 24th. From October 24th-March20, 2022 they will have the special exhibit: THE ART OF FOOD from the collections of Jordan D. Schnitzer. “The Art of Food showcases how some of the most prominent artists of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries have considered this universal subject.
