Arizona artist, Jacqueline Cohen, is known for her dynamic, acrylic paintings, captivating photographs, and original handmade jewelry.
Born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Indiana, Jacqueline began honing her artistic talents at an early age; continuing her art studies throughout high school and at the renowned Chicago Art Institute. Ultimately she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Art Education from Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana, with an emphasis in painting and photography. Prior to moving to Arizona in 1980, Jacqueline taught secondary school and adult art classes.
Upon her arrival in Phoenix in 1980, Jacqueline became a Senior Publications Specialist, Senior Writer for Motorola and General Dynamics. There, she wrote and collaborated on a variety of materials for diverse media for more than twenty-five years. Some of which earned prestigious Communications, Telly Award, and film festival awards.
A resident of SaddleBrooke since 2009, Jacqueline is a member of the SaddleBrooke Fine Arts Guild. Her works have been exhibited throughout Arizona, including juried shows sponsored by distinguished Arizona art clubs such as: Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild (SAWG), Contemporary Artists of Southern Arizona (CASA), the Tucson Jewish Community Center (JCC) Jewish Artists, as well as venues such as the Flagstaff Art Walk and the Long Realty – Golder Ranch Art Gallery. Likewise, Jacqueline is extremely proud to be one of the many talented artists featured at Absolutely Art Gallery & Gifts.
