Born in Chicago, Illinois, Jacqueline grew up in Indiana in a family that embraced the arts. She began exploring art possibilities in junior high school. In high school, she was one of two students presented with the Ball State Workshop for Young Artists award; received art show honors, and was president of her school’s art club. Also during this time, she was a student at the renowned Chicago Art Institute. After graduating from Indiana University with a BA in Art Education with an emphasis in painting and photography, Jacqueline taught adult art classes and at Putnam High School before moving to Arizona in 1980. She set aside art for her other love, writing, and for next twenty-five years became a senior writer for Motorola and General Dynamics. Upon her move to SaddleBrooke in 2009, she again picked up her paintbrush and camera and became an active member of the Guild.
